Excavation and Research at the Tandy
The Tandy Institute for Archaeology has been a sponsor of archaeological excavations in the southern Levant since the last quarter of the 20th century. It has participated in archaeological research for over 25 years. The Institute funds research in archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Studies. The majority of funding supports a major excavation project and field school in Israel as well as field projects of faculty and research associates.
In addition, support for the analysis and publication of collections of the Tandy Museum is provided. The Museum's research centers on three collections: Martin Numismatic collection, Carlson Cuneiform collection, and ancient manuscripts in the archive collection of Robert's library. The Tandy provides room and half board for contributing associates and visiting scholars.
